Greg Biffle- "It's Like The Sun's Going Down On Me"
Biffle was the lone Roush Fenway driver who failed to taste victory lane Coca Cola in 2011. He was subjected to watch a Matt Kenseth comeback season, Carl Edwards dominated the regular season, David Ragan scored his first career win, and Trevor Bayne won the season opening Daytona 500. Biffle appeared to lack consistency in 2011, an entity rarely absent throughout his career. Biff often appeared to be disinterested early on in the season when asked about his team's chances of making the chase. Was it a lack of effort on the part of the entire team? Was it Crew chief Greg Erwin? or has age caught up with the Biff who turned 41 last December? In any case, I guess we'll find out in 2012,In what will be a make or break year for the Biff. Biffle will continue to work with crew chief Matt Puccia, who replaced Greg Erwin after the Kentucky race. Biffle expressed his dissatisfaction with Erwin early on in the 2011 season. Often blaming the pit crew and the man atop the box for his failures on track. There'll be an Enormous amount of pressure placed upon this team early on to succeed after an off 2011. Biffle's talent will be judged tremendously given his age and the fact that he publicly stated regretting re signing with Roush - Fenway racing. with young guns Ricky Stenhouse Jr and Trevor Bayne waiting in the wings to land a full time cup ride it may not be too long before the cat in the hat pulls Biffle from the 16 car. I'm not completely convinced 2011 was just an off year for the Biff. I don't think he's really happy with the direction of Roush -Fenway racing. A future that seems eminent without him. Biffle's days of contending for the Sprint Cup appear to be coming to an end, but I do believe he could gel with another team on the tour.
