Up Next - Tony Stewart

Tony Stewart- He's Building An Empire! Watch Out Folks!!

In the Summer of 2008 Tony Stewart made a huge decision to leave Joe Gibbs Racing to take over part ownership of lowly CNC/Haas Racing. Many people within the motorsports community thought Tony was crazy to leave a high profile organization like Gibbs for the great unknown. You can bet Tony never doubted his decision for one split second. Heading into his fourth season as driver/owner of Stewart Haas Racing,Tony has brought this team up from the ground right to the top. He and Ryan Newman have a combined 13 wins between them in 3 season,Tony won the team's first championship, and brought in both Danica Patrick, and Greg Zipadelli to the organization. Not bad for three years on the job. Tony looks to be at his best, and that's bad news for the other driver's on the tour. His legendary run in the 2011 chase will be remembered fro years to come. I expect Tony to wear the owner hat a litte more this season. He seems extremly committed to developing the career Danica Patrick in NASCAR. Tony's been a notoriously slow starter starter in his career. He lives and dies by those late season surges, but if he can put together strong runs at the beginning of the season he may be standing at the podium hold the big cheque!
