Hello, and welcome to my corner of racing-reference.info!

I plan to use this area to let people know about current developments (or what might happen down the road) on racing-reference.info.

First, we unveiled the new blogging section earlier this week and I want to thank everyone who's signed up so far and remind others that there is still room for plenty more bloggers! We've got lots of great commenters on this site, and if you would like the opportunity to write on just about any topic you choose, whenever you like, look here.

We're hoping that bloggers will keep the racing fires burning during the upcoming cold months, because even though there may be no racing going on there should still be much to talk about during Silly Season.

Coming up next -- hopefully -- is a bit of a redesign of at least the main page of racing-reference.info. I want to try to get things better organized and emphasize that this site is more than just numbers, numbers and more numbers.

What other racing series might appear here in the near future? We're looking into the Corona Mexico Series (might as well cover ALL of the NASCAR Touring Series) and the American Le Mans Series and the Grand-Am Series. There's no fixed timetable for when those series will be available, but there's a very good chance that one or more of them could be ready before Daytona in February.

But the real point of this blog is: I'd very much like to hear what you think of this site, and what we can do to improve it. I'm as interested (probably MORE interested) in what you DON'T like about racing-reference.info than what you do like, although we promise to accept praise graciously.

You can always reach the webmaster via email, but this is a forum where you can leave comments -- and seeing your feedback might inspire others to come up with some good ideas too.

Thanks for reading -- and for visiting racing-reference.info -- and I hope to hear from you soon!

EDIT (added 10/31/09): I'm trying to get more in tune with 21st century technology, and therefore have been posting updates on Twitter for a little while now. You can follow the excitement here: http://twitter.com/racingreference. Thanks!
