Another great season of NASCAR is ahead of us. I look forward to discussing the races with everyone and no doubt their will be an abundance of fights and arguments in the race pages. For my driver, optimism is high and Keselowski seems to be predicting a solid 2011 season. I can't wait until they drop the green flag on the unofficial start to the season this Saturday night with the Bud Shootout.

I thought it would be a great idea to have a blog that allowed some of the members here to make some outlandish predictions. You never know you could be a hero if one comes true... So without further ado, here are Cooper's crazy predictions for 2011...

-Robby Gordon will win a race.
Why? Robby will be locked into the top 35. Robby has a new committed manufacture. Robby has scaled back his schedule to only his good tracks. He's a damn good racecar driver. Road Courses Duh!.
--Jimmie Johnson won't win until May.
Why? Jimmie can't keep up this pace, five championships will definately slow him down. Changes at Hendrick will lower the focus on the #48. Rivals have gained performance on him. He'll win the Coke 600.
---Daytona 500 will have 75 lead changes.
Why? New Pavement. The two car draft lock. Most competitive field since 2008. History of Talladega, 88 lead changes last year, new daytona will be Talladega Lite.
----Bobby Labonte will make the chase.
Why? New team. Best equipment since Gibbs. Talented racecar driver. Car ran decent with Ambrose. Bobby is a quick starter. Reliable driver.
-----Carl Edwards will win 7 races.
Why? Roush will be the best team. Carl has done it before. Finished 2010 on fire. Won't have to focus on Nationwide point effort.
------Denny Hamlin will win one race.
Why? Has had two seasons with only one win. Mentally drained from last year. Loss of focus. More competitive Joey and Kyle in the Gibbs garage. Will be the third straw at Gibbs. Probably will win race at Pocono.
-------Steven Wallace will finish top 10 in the Daytona 500.
Why? It's Daytona. Last year Kevin freaking Conway did well. Mike Bliss got a top 10 at Daytona as well. Steven is locked in the field. Steven will proove the haters wrong and run well.
--------NASCAR will average a 5.0 television rating.
Why? Cooler looking cars. Better Rivalries. No football in fall. Plus NASCAR will be hot again. Last year they average a 3.9.
---------Elliott Sadler will win Nationwide Championship.
Why? Best driver in the garage. Best Cars in the garage. Best team in the garage. Weak competition.
----------Dale Earnhardt Jr. will be the 2011 Sprint Cup Champion!
Why not? The world is crazy, it's been a decade since the death of his father. Sounds like a disney movie in the making. Plus he drives the best equipment in the series. He's challenged for cups in the past.

Hopefully some of these predictions have brought some comedic relief to your day...None of these will happen, but it's fun to think of the storylines. Let me hear some crazy predictions of your own. And heck if you think one of these farfetched things of mine will come true, let me know.

NASCAR DECADE-10 years ago FOX would debut their first ever race: the Budweiser Shootout. Some consider it to be the best ever. Dale Earnhardt and the rest of the NASCAR stars take to the track in a 70 lap dash for a purse of $900,000. Enjoy!
