Another good race is in the can.

Congratulations to the road course aces on their road course wins.

Well, it?s apparent Nascar has the ability to manage a race well. Hopefully they can find a way to better apply that skill to ovals.

I?ve always had trouble understanding the business side of Nascar, so I?m puzzled by the announcement that Terry Labonte will drive the #10 in 3 races for Billy Stavola. To what end?

Good scheduling move: 1 Atlanta race moved to a new venue. Although I enjoy AMS, and usually once a year it?s the fastest track, in this day and age variety may be preferred.

Bad scheduling move: 1 Fontana race moved to a not so new and cookie cutter Kansas. Of course, we knew ? and I feared ? that was coming (Racin? Roulette - gofastturnleftraceshoptours.com/?m=200912).

8.13.77: Bobby Isaac, with 25 laps to go in a Sportsman race at Hickory, NC, called for a relief driver. He collapsed on pit road and died early the next day.

8.13.50: At Hillsboro, NC, Fireball Roberts got his first win.

If Ned were in the booth we?d know what?s up with Tracy Leslie.
