I had a very busy past couple of weeks (which included my computer going to pot temporarily), so if you want to see my picks from New Hampshire, the link has em
My Daytona picks...
A-List
Starter: Jeff Gordon
Reserve: Jimmie Johnson
Gordon has to win one soon. Yeah, he has a few rabid dogs on his tail for what he did at Sonoma, but I think that win will come very shortly. Jimmie Johnson gets my reserve spot, but I doubt there will be a switch
B-List
Starters: Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jamie McMurray
Reserves: Kevin Harvick, Ryan Newman
Dale Jr. has been having some better performances lately, and Daytona is one of his good tracks (at least historically), so I think it should translate to at least a decent, if not good finish. This time last year, I probably wouldn't of picked McMurray for a pick here, but he has been white hot the past four restrictor plate races (2 wins, 3 Top 5's, and a 11th place finish), so unless the Big One strikes him, I see no different from McMurray. Harvick and Newman get my reserve spots
C-List
Starter: AJ Allmendinger
Reserve: Scott Speed
I am very tempted to pick Steve Park, since he is attempting to run at Daytona this weekend, but I forget (at the moment) if he is running a Start and Park car or not. If not, restrictor plate races tend to find ways to have guys finish in spots that they normally wouldn't finish anywhere else. If he is in a Start and Park car, then its the picks I have. Allmendinger to start, Speed for Reserve.
