Because the NASCAR race went to Monday, and I play hockey on those days, I did not watch until after halfway through the race, that being said, my one comment on the NASCAR race...
- Wow... what a finish!
What a finish. Probably one of the best in the last few years. I will have to slam on Denny Hamlin on the pit stop late in the race. Yes, he still ended up winning, but really. Major risk. The racing in general at Martinsville was great, but since Martinsville is a slow track, ill wait until Phoenix and some other tracks to give my full opinion on how the spoiler works on the COT. Watching the race though, as I had said, seeing the spoiler on a boxy car almost reminded me of a car from around the 90's. Take away the splitter, and we could get that look.
- Aussie Grand Prix... what a race!
Yes, the rain deal at Australia helped, but what happened at Melbourne was nothing short of crazy nuts. As with Sebastian Vettel, he should be a championship contender, but that car falling apart like it is sure will not help him at all. Red Bull should get their stuff straight, otherwise, they will have a championship run literally fall apart.
A-List - Jimmie finished 9th, but was not as dominant as he typically is at Martinsville. Might not prevent me from picking him again when they return in October though. 74 points from Jimmie
B-List - Dale Jr finishes 15th, Jamie 30th... NEXT!!! 32 points from McMurray, 62 from Dale Jr.
C-List - Paul Menard finished 14th, but if there is any good news from this, it was amongst the best finishers (only Sam Hornish Jr. got more points) on the C-List. 64 points from Menard. 232 points overall.
Since there is an off week for NASCAR, and me having Easter plans that will prevent me from effectively watching the F1 race this weekend at Malaysia, there will be no Monday Morning Roundup more than likely next week. I will post my picks for the Phoenix NASCAR race sometime during next week though.
