Announcing...The Racing-Reference Fantasy Predictor's Cup!!

I am happy to reveal this new award for 2014 and beyond! This award, originally the brainchild of The Long Shot, will be given to the best overall predictor across all series over the course of the year. It has been agreed upon by all the heads of the leagues, and will be run for the foreseeable future by yours truly.

Here's how it works: the system will award points on a 8-6-4-3-2 scale the to the top five highest-scoring predictors in each league on a weekly basis. At the end of the year, the predictor with the most points will win the RRFPC. This system does NOT replace the points systems for all the separate leagues, so don't worry. Points toward each individual league championship will still be accrued per the league rules.

Every, I repeat, EVERY series that has a league on Racing-Reference will be counted in this championship:

NASCAR National and Regional Series:
- Sprint Cup
- Nationwide
- Camping World Trucks
- K&N East
- K&N West
- Canadian Tire
- Whelen Modified
- Whelen Southern Modified
- Toyota

ARCA

Open-Wheel:
- Formula One
- IndyCar
- Indy Lights

And of course, my own league, United Sports Car Racing.

The more leagues you compete in, the more points you will accumulate. I hope this will encourage all you predictors to compete in as many series as you can. After all, the winner gets ultimate bragging rights for a year.

This championship will begin on January 25th, when the USCR runs their inaugural race at Daytona, the Rolex 24. Thank you all for continuing to support the fantasy leagues on Racing-Reference, and I hope we can make this upcoming season a fun one.

Until we meet again.
