It has been about two years now since Robert Kubica suffered compound fractures in his right arm and leg in a rally crash. While Kubica's recovery does not have him in F1-shape, he has managed to win a rally and test a DTM car. At this point it seems safe to change his status from "recovering" to "unemployed."
There were rumors that Kubica had suffered permanent nerve damage in his right arm. We can assume any damage was not permanent based on Kubica's ability to drive a DTM car, complete with paddle-shift. If he did have trouble working a paddle-shift, I would just suggest he try his hand at NASCAR. Get it? Hand!
Surely we all remember Kubica's crash at Montreal, and his subsequent winning of the Canadian Grand Prix the next season. This appears to be a guy that finishes what he starts. Given that he hasn't won any championships yet, I do not think he is finished with F1.
