*** Before I start, I'd like to say that this might not happen. I just want feedback from all you racing fans out there ***
So, whilst cleaning loads of mud off of my muddy boots one day, I had a thought. Here it is:
This is my F1 Teams Championship that is for the fans. It is quite easy to udnerstand once you get your head around it. The rules:
Everyone has to pick 2 active drivers for the 2013 F1 season (of course, with not all drivers confirmed, this will have to start when all of the contracts are signed). No drivers can be shared between teams, because that is impossible.
With those 2 drivers, the 'team boss' has to then predict the positions of their drivers. Points will be awarded to people who make accurate predictions.
If you miss a week out, then your team will have a DNP mark on this championship.
If not all 24 drivers are taken, then people can join mid-season with remaining drivers on their teams, with a DNP on the races that they missed.
People can 'buy' a team off of another competitor if they are missing a week or simply can't be bothered to carry on. If this occurs, then the previous points that the team had amassed will still be under the previous competitors name, and the new 'owner' will start fresh.
If there are available drivers, then a team can replace their drivers with one not with a team yet. However, there is no driver trading.
A team can fold midway, leaving opportunities for another team to start up and take the two drivers.
*I'm toying with the following idea:
No 2 drivers can be predicted in the same positions. This means that if 1st and 2nd are the only 2 places available and you happen to have Charles Pic and Timo Glock, then bad luck. However, this could be unfair, especially on people who aren't me.
**I don't have a points system yet.
So they are the basics for this F1 Teams for the fans 2013 season. I'm trying to make it as fair as possible on everyone, and if you would be interested in participating, PLEASE POST YOUR FEEDBACK. I'd love for this to be successful. I just need 11 more people.
