Since I cant seem to generate any interest on the racing reference message board, I think I'll start dual posting on the forum and on this blog weekly.
Hello everyone, if you are new to this game here is a complete look at the rules for this game: http://racing-reference.info/forums/showthread.php?t=195
For those of you who have played this game before, you know how to play it, the only difference is I have eliminated the 2 in one month restriction.
To all new people, I would greatly appreciate if you would participate in our yearly fantasy game which runs for the entire duration of the Nascar Sprint Cup season, and has been running since 2009. All you have to do is pick three drivers for the upcoming Cup race, and (optionally) provide why you think they might win or offer a comment.
As of yet there is no prize money offered for this game, but that may change down the road, depending on if I can get a sponsor, or if I make enough supplemental cash to offer one starting next season.
Here is our list of Champions the past 3 years:
See if you can make it on the list this year!
Currently we have 7 full time players (including myself) which leaves 5 spots up for grabs in the chase this year, and have a chance of stealing the championship.
If you dont understand what you are seeing here, let me explain:
when you pick your 3 drivers, I will count the points of the 2 that finished the highest in the race, you will receive all the points earned by those 2 drivers, as well as bonus points based on certain things.
Using my result for last weeks race as an example, here is what everything stands for:
Point Position: Player Name. Total Points (Chase Seeding Points)
I hope all of this was understandable to everyone, and I hope to see any new players try the game out, you can do so in the comments above or by visiting www.racing-reference.info/forums and following us in the Sprint Cup section of the forum.
And thank you to all who do participate.
