Default Joey Logano

This kid's grown on me and he'll continue to prove the detractors wrong as the season goes along. Would you doubt Mark Martin who's been glowing about this kid since he was 15? His career accomplishments from the age of 6 in 1996:

Quarter midgets in Conneticut:
1996 Jr. Stock Car Division Eastern Grand National Championship
1998 Jr. Honda Division Championship
1999 Late Model Division Championship
1999 New England Regional Championships in Senior Stock, Late Model, Lt. B. divisions
1999 Bandolero Bandits Series Championship in Georgia
2000 Track-record 14 consecutive wins in Legends cars at Atlanta Motor Speedway
2000 Lions National Championship (Legends cars)
2002 Southeast-based Pro Legends National Championship
2005-2006 1 Northern Division USAR Pro Hooters Cup win in 8 races, 2 Southern Division USAR PHC wins in 14 races
2007 Camping World East Series Champion, first rookie to win the championship
2007 Toyota All-Star Showdown winner
2008 First career Nationwide Series win at Kentucky, 18 races in the 20 JGR Nationwide car to help it win the owners championship
2009 Full-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver, youngest driver to ever run the Daytona 500

To date in Nationwide: 30 starts, 2 wins, 11 top fives, 22 top tens, 4 poles, 8.4 career average start and 8.4 career average finish.

To date in Cup: 16 races, 3 top tens, best career finish of 9th three times, 25.3 career average finish, 22.6 average finishes after 13 races in rookie season in 2009.

Hasn't earned the 20 ride. But i'll give the kid time. Is he talented? Yes but he shouldn't be in Cup. Tear it up in Nationwide first then Cup. But oh i'm kidding, he could win a race this year.

I think Joey is tearing up the NNS, and getting to run a Cup car as well. I think this team has small goals. In a year without testing, I think this move for Joey is looking better and better. They have no shot at the chase, they are comfortably in the top 35. I think this kid is going to be fire in a few short years.

Yeah, Joey got moved up to a rookie in Cup in what is one of the hardest eras to be a rookie. With the ban on testing, he has very little COT experience on most of these tracks. The fact that he has 3 top 10's speaks for itself. Give him a few years to learn this COT, and he will be very, very good.

He'll be out of the sport in a few years, another "Next Jeff Gordon" that never amounted to anything!

Joey will be forgotten as soon as the next best 30th place driver comes to NASCAR, Danica.

Who want to bet $634 that he won't win a Cup race this year?
