Default 2009 rookie class

Allgaier and Lagasse have done great so far this year, especially Allgaier. He's looking good to replace Stremme in the 12 in Cup next season.

Brendan Gaughan and McDowell shouldn't be though, Gaughan has a full season in Cup (2004) and McDowell ran over half the schedule last year. Still isn't as bad as when John Andretti was a rookie in 2006 though.

Joey's a rookie in Cup, not Nationwide. I hate it when the ESPN guys call Logano a rookie when he's run the races this year, he ran half the schedule last season!

Logano finished 9th at one of the hardest tracks in NASCAR this past week. But by all means, continue to flame him and call him gay. It never bothered Jeff Gordon on the way to four championships, 80+ wins, and a smoking hot wife, and I'm sure it doesn't bother Joey either.

What does it tell me? It tells me he was in the wrong place at the wrong time and got the crap end of the stick. It also tells me he's a rookie who was still learning (and he is now too) how to draft at superspeedways in the brick that is the COT. You don't "luck" into a top ten at Darlington. He was near the front and led some laps; rookie or not, leading laps at Darlington is impressive.

The only reason I compared him to Gordon was because he's built up to be the next big thing. A little negative chatter towards him won't hinder his progress; hell, he doesn't even care probably. He's getting paid money -- more money than everyone here combined probably -- to do what he loves. I doubt a few, "UR GAY", or, "OMG U SUX UR OVERRATED BRING BACK STEWERT", comments will cause him any sleepless nights any time soon.

Tony Stewart has finished 43rd in the 500 twice. So have Carl Edwards, Bobby Labonte, Mark Martin, Ryan Newman, and Bobby Hamilton, among others. What does that tell you?
