A few years back I suggested that NASCAR hold races on weeknights. My suggestion was promptly shot down by graveyard shifters unwilling to miss a race. Fast forward to 2012, and mainstream writers pick up on the notion of weeknight races after the Daytona 500 lists strong ratings on a Monday night following a rain delay and whatever you call the Montoya/Jet .... MIPA for the Truck race goes to Draco. He predicted Sauter to win, and after the season Sauter has had, I find that a very risky prediction. But man, did Draco profit from it!

Top-5 are still close together. 8 points separate them.

Congratulations to Draco, joey2448, and Spen for correctly picking Lewis Hamilton to win! Draco, though, gets the MIPA for getting 21 points and leaping 4 spots to be tied for the lead. Please note: It's Jenson Button, not Jensen, and it is Sebastian not Seabastian.

Here is how we do it. It is Le Mans time. I want the picks formatted the same as mine for clarity. It doesn't take much. Pick the position of the DeltaWing! This is the tiebreaker for the final standings. If two people are tied for the win, the tiebreaker will be closeness to picking .... Read the rest of this blog

All right everybody, I am moving ahead with predictions for the 24 Hours of Le Mans. I was thinking of making it simple. We pick the top 3 cars in each class, LMP1, LMP2, LMGTE-Pro, and LMGTE-Am by number. 5 points for correctly picked car in top 3. 5 extra for exactly picked third, 10 for exactly picked second, and 25 points for exactly picked .... Another race is in the can.

It's hard to believe there could have been a car faster than the 48, but it sure seemed the 24 was. But then concrete can turn into clay.

Speaking of imagining: imagine Nascar without the Busches. How drab that would be. Kyle appears to have succumbed to the Nascar-imposed lobotomy, but will it take for .... Read the rest of this blog

Not much diversity from the Cup predictions. However, there were 6 winners, for this week the MIPA will go to whoever got the most points which was Thomas.
