  1. "Attack of the Six-Foot Tall Chickens" posted by Uptight Motorsports Nerd on April 30, 2012   (1 comment)

I have noticed a trend toward cowardice on pit road. It began in 2009 when Jimmy Watts (better known as the gas man for Macros Ambrose) chased a tire into the infield grass at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Watts was promptly censured by commentators for his dangerous action and given a four-race suspension by NASCAR.

I want to measure exactly .... Read the rest of this blog

Another race is in the can.

I bet Nascar is sure glad to be headed back to its home territory for the next month and a half or so.

On the surface, the last 2 races didn't look much different, but Kansas seemed to have more intrigue. Obviously, as the race unfolded, the result was more unexpected than at Texas. There seemed to be much .... Read the rest of this blog

  4. "What is Good Racing?" posted by Nick DeGroot on April 25, 2012   (9 comments)

    **What is Good Racing?**
What is good racing? That seems like a simple question but lately, the line between good racing and bad racing in my eyes has become very cloudy. There is a problem with NASCAR today. You have 43 of the best drivers in the world run a near perfect race at Texas and Kansas with no major incidents racing far past .... Read the rest of this blog

Once again, please be careful changing your picks! 2 competitors did so this week and they did worse, which resulted in NicoRosbergFan being able to continue to pull away to a 22 point lead! Congrats to him for breaking 100 points. Also, I was quite surprised, no one picked Denny to win!

The MIPA goes to T-27 for getting 9 of the top 10 right!

The "MIPA" goes to Spen for tying the points lead after being the only one to predict Buescher as the winner! Also, I cannot say this enough, be careful when changing your picks! More times than not, you either prevent yourself from getting an easy point or it doesn't make a difference. I think only once this year a change was for the better.

As we are 4 races, already a fifth of the way into the season, I am already looking at some of my predictions... and OOOOH BOY do some of these not look so close to what I thought would be the case, and the way the season has gone so far, I'm sure THESE predictions could end up VERY out of whack as well.

Baseball season has started again. This year is already shaping up to be an interesting season: the Marlins are imploded less than a week into the season, the Mets have a winning record, and the Cubs are still awful. Most people don't realize that baseball and racing have a common tradition: team orders.

Nico Rosberg, that was just SUPERB! - The guy had potential, just couldn't get

After a crazy week at Martinsville and a lot of high temper among Gordon and/or Johnson fans (including myself), I have come to a conclusion. I hate using the term 'amateur hour', but a fair amount of risky decisions have been thrown all round all weekend.
