Sprint Cup
Last years champion Jimmie Johnson won the 500 and has the points lead again. A lot of last years chase drivers failed to finish on the lead lap. A shoutout to Michael McDowell and Scott Speed for finishing on the lead lap. Regan Smith finished 7th place but is running full time nationwide

The season has officially begun! These points do not count BUT, the Exhibition Champion after the All-Star Race will receive 15 bonus points in the Sprint Cup Series. As I write this I am listening to MRN's coverage of the Sprint Unlimited and watching NASCAR.com's timing and scoring. It took a long time just to do that much. NASCAR.com has become so dysfunctional the only way to find the Leaderboard page was through a search engine. Other people with other browsers appear to be having the same difficulties tonight.
